Hours of Opening
Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
Within these hours, all eligible children will receive places to access 1140 hours of statutory funded nursery provision where possible within the settings capacity. Patterns of attendance can vary between term time and 52 weeks depending on availability. Where possible the centre will try to meet individual family circumstances.
The core sessions are:
Birth to 3 Year olds: 08:30 am to 11:30 am
Morning: 08:30 am to 11:30 am
Afternoon: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
(All eligible children in receipt of statutory funding will receive an extended AM or PM session with a lunch)

The nursery is open 50 weeks a year but is closed on 12 ½ public holidays, 8 in-service days and the period between Christmas and New Year. The nursery will notify you in advance of these closure dates and for information on term dates please refer to the schools and learning information pages on the Glasgow City Council website.

Age range of children
Laurieston Day Nursery operates a service for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. At present we accommodate 48 Full Time Equivalent children term time/non-term time within a daily session. This is broken down to the following:
Skye developmentally 0-2 years 9 children
Iona developmentally 2-3 years 15 children
Harris developmentally 3-5 years 24 children
Nursery provision will reflect children’s needs and development. The allocation of placements will be tailored to each individual child. Some children are offered half-day sessions (usually referred to as either an A.M. or P.M. place) and some are offered full-day, depending on individual circumstances, availability of space and equitable access to 1140 hours entitlement.
